Dear Miss D,
The process of letting you go
is the hardest one I've come to know,
through this poem I'll set you free,
Oh how I loved you so, my dear Miss D.
My life unfolds as my story is being told in forms of words creating a poem that speaks to the soul.
This evening the Moon asked me, "Where's the person you used to compare me to?". My eyes wanted to cry, but I tried so hard to keep my tears from shedding. I told the Moon, "I never compared you to her, I just pointed out your similarities — both so beautiful and bright... and so far beyond my reach. It pains me to say that all I could ever do now is to admire her from a distance."
How gracefully you twirled, like a flame dancing in the wind. Your name was a foreign melody that escaped my lips in stuttering notes. But you breathed inspiration into me and rekindled my creative spark which I thought had long been snuffed out. Thank you for igniting that fire within me once more with your ethereal presence.
Oh, the depth of love,
boundless and pure, but alas!
Even it has its bounds.
Honoring its essence,
cherishing every moment,
but knowing when to let go.
For True Love is freedom;
To grow and flourish in joy
or depart with grace and dignity.
Oh maiden fair, whose name escaped my lips,
not due to its intricacies but fear's grips.
I'm grateful for your breath that sparked anew
my creativity and passion—once thought through.
Oh, my heart is heavy with the weight of your broken vows,
What caused you to depart without a word? Pray tell me now.
Oh, how love's path twisted in front of me,
With obstacles I had never foreseen.
When our time came to an end,
My breaking heart was hard to portend.
Yet now I find solace and peace,
A delay too long for my release.
I see that by keeping you near,
It wasn't your betrayal but mine - oh dear.
I have long admired you and never did I keep it a secret. However, I came to the realization that admiration and love aren't necessarily the same. Furthermore, loving someone doesn't mean sacrificing one's self-respect and happiness. Sometimes love cannot conquer it all.
I have placed you on a pedestal so high that I lost sight of the reality that you were not perfect. But now, as I pick up the pieces of my shattered heart and slowly heal from the wounds you inflicted upon me, I am beginning to see things clearly and understand that my love for you wasn't healthy or sustainable. It is a painful but necessary realization to move away from loving people who don't even have the decency to treat you with kindness and respect.
The immense force of gravity could never make me fall the way I fell for you. I was captivated by your being. Sir Isaac Newton's law of universal gravitation would question itself if it knew how you made me fall for your beauty, stunning character, and overall persona.
You're hurting because he's leaving? I shattered when you rejected me; when you decided that I was unworthy of being regarded as someone significant to you or to be seen as a respectable human being. While the situation you're facing now is distressing, but it cannot be compared to the pain that I am feeling deep within my heart, my soul, because I was deeply in love with only you, and you were infatuated with him. My feelings are sincere and deep-rooted while yours is based on the attraction you have for his looks. Hence, our circumstances cannot be deemed the same.
At this moment, I am experiencing a sense of detachment from my physical being. My corporeal form appears inadequate to contain the entirety of my essence as it spills forth in an uncontrolled manner akin to an unruly surge on the shore. This day brings about emotions that render me friendless and incapable of self-recovery despite earnest efforts. Concurrently, lurking demons await their chance to overpower me while flashing their sharp teeth ominously. Because she doesn't know or maybe she does know but she just doesn't care and it pains me to my very core. Nevertheless, hope for a better tomorrow motivates me at this moment. If I do survive.
I get what you mean.
I understand what you mean,
but I’m so hurt right now that I feel like you rejected me.
I should’ve known when to stop,
I should’ve known what was right,
but I didn’t listen to the good side of myself,
Instead I refused to give up without a fight.
"sometimes we fall in love with ideas not people"
maybe that’s what happened to me…
maybe I fell in love
with the idea of us,
that’s why I made
all that fuss.
fuss about you,
and that love that i thought
is meant to be true.
